What makes it special

For plant lovers, the Budo range is where the golden-leaf Bauhinia (Bauhinia aureifolia) was first discovered — a vine endemic to Thailand with shimmering golden-copper leaves and white flowers. Hiking or birdwatching inside the park gives you a chance to spot something you won't find in forests elsewhere in the country.

Atmosphere

The whole area sits in the Sankalakiri Range, the southern tail of the mountains running down toward Malaysia, covering three deep-south provinces: Narathiwat, Yala and Pattani. It is humid Indo-Malay rainforest with fresh air and waterfalls scattered at several points across the park.

Water & swimming

The waterfalls are the main reason people come here. The water is cool and flows year-round; the first level is an easy spot to get in, and with more time you can hike up to taller, bigger tiers. Some stretches look like a small stream, but after rain the flow fills out noticeably.
