What makes it special

The camping lawn sits on the edge of the Khao Chuk reservoir in Rayong, laid out inside an orchard, so tents end up surrounded by fruit trees and the water of the dam. Evening sunsets are visible right from the front of the lawn. On weekdays such as Mondays the grounds are mostly empty, while weekends draw a crowd and the space fills up considerably.

Water & swimming

There is a dedicated water-play zone by the reservoir, with rowboats and life vests available at no extra charge. Anglers will find a fishing pond right in front of the lawn, while another fishing spot sits a short walk away across the grounds. Water is simply part of daily life here, from morning to evening.

Best time to go

The cool months at the end of the year are when the weather here is at its best — from late in the year through early January, days are comfortably cool and nights can get a little chilly, so bring warm layers. In the hot season the sun is strong and shade is limited to scattered spots on the lawn, so arriving late in the day or bringing a sun-shielding tent is the more comfortable option.
