Atmosphere

The Wang Kaew camping field runs right along the beach, with large trees shading most of the grounds. The lawn is flat and open, easy to pitch a tent under the trees near the sea. A cool sea breeze blows from morning onward, and on cloudy days the sun barely breaks through. It feels like a private beach set apart from the busier areas.

Water & swimming

The sea sits directly in front of the camping field, with a beach that is regularly cleaned, comfortable for walks or a swim. For fresh food, there is a seafood restaurant about a 10-minute walk away, close enough that you don't need to drive out far.

Best time to go

Late July brings pleasant weather, often overcast all day with a cool breeze from morning, so you can enjoy the beach or swim without scorching heat. During monsoon spells, though, phone signal can drop in and out, so it's worth having a backup plan for communication and checking conditions before setting out.

Quiet & crowds

On weekdays the site is quiet, sometimes nearly empty; arriving early lets you claim the best shaded spots near the beach. Weekends and long holidays draw much bigger crowds, and some groups party with loud music late into the night. The rules prohibit noise after 10 pm and amplified sound systems, but those seeking real quiet should come on a weekday.
