The pin on the map is the exact location for the camping. A little further on you will see the road has a temporary barrier across it and some wire fencing, there's no camping allowed through there, but I think you can walk through to the end. It should be 80 baht but nobody came to collect the money when I stayed. At night it seems like there's a security guard 50 metres before the camping area, maybe you could try paying him. In the daytime there's some shade (pavilion type shelters) near the security guard, but most people arrive late afternoon and leave early morning to avoid the sun. Toilets were good, maybe the negative reviews about toilets are old? The aquarium is very near this place, free entry but closes early, try and go there before 15.00. There's a museum too which I didn't check out.

Nice flat camping area overlooking the lake. A few trees around for shelter from the sun, but a bit exposed to wind, and hitch was welcome relief from the warm weather! Other people were camping here and were very friendly. Lots of friendly dogs around too. Has showers, toilets, seating areas. We couldn’t figure out how to pay, so we stayed here for free. Not sure if we were supposed to.
