Who it suits: The trails to Phraya Nakhon and Sai caves are steep, with stone and log steps, so they suit reasonably fit walkers who bring water. Families with small children or anyone with limited mobility may find this part tough, though taking the boat in helps cut out one of the short climbs.
Best time to go: The best time to come is the cool season or from mid-year onward, when the weather is milder and the views are at their best. Around March the sea tends to be murky, so swimming is less enjoyable. If you're heading up to the cave, go in the cooler morning hours and wear proper shoes.
