Phu Sun Campsite

Phayao
4.6(5 reviews)

Phu Sun Campsite in Phayao province offers panoramic mountain views and a clear sightline to Pha Chang Noi cliff, making it a standout camping in Phayao destination. Located in Amphoe Pong, the site charges 150 THB per person for grass pitches and 200 THB per person for raised platform spots. The road is paved and suitable for all vehicle types, though the slope down into the camp is steep — drivers should plan their approach carefully, especially on the way up. Both tent campers and campervan visitors are welcome, with freedom to choose their preferred spot. Facilities include gender-separated bathrooms with gas-heated hot water showers and electrical hook-up points. Phone signal is reliable on AIS and True networks.

Hello, I’m a traveler and I would like to make a reservation for about 6 tent spots. I’d like to know how to proceed with the booking, and how I can contact the owner since there is no WhatsApp available.

You better get your own tent because they do not rent tents in the area. If you gonna park your car, spend the night inside the car and don’t bring any tent to set up, the parking fee depends on how many people are in the car. If five people are staying in their own car that parks in their space, then it’s 750 Bahts per total. Views around these campsites are magnificent. They may slightly differ depending on your viewpoint. Other nearby campsites rent the tents which range from 900 Bahts to 2000 Bahts. We went to a nearby campsite which was reviewed to rent the tent at the price of 600 Bahts around three weeks ago. But when we got there, the owner informed there were no tents that start at the price of 600 Bahts but at 900 Bahts for the smallest tent they have. So with five people, we end up spending the night at a nearby homestay service where the room can accommodate up to 5 people with two queen sized beds and two single beds. The room is incredibly clean, spacious, lovely, and comfortable with a large toilet and bathroom, and a spacious living room where the coffee and drinks are provided. The price is 1200 Bahts for five of us and the owner of the house is kind. Also there is a Mookata shop near our homestay and the owners of the shop were really kind. Even when their shop was closed, they had their trust in us and rented us their mookata grill plate and gas stove for a night at 150 Bahts which we were allowed to return the next day. They even sold us their sauce which we requested them to sell as we brought our own marinated meat but forgot the gas stove. For viewpoints, there were also some coffee shops where you can enjoy beautiful natural landscape . One cafe was Magic mountain and for the other, I did not recall the name. It was one person one order for magic cafe and you better get there early to get the best seats at the cafe and enjoy the sunrise. One more fact: local people, owners of the campsites and cafes in this area are really kind and attentive. They are always ready to help tourists. We felt like home due to their friendliness and assistance.
