Rai Pang Wua

Nan
5.0(5 reviews)

Rai Pang Wua is a campsite in Nan province set on a working Charolais cattle farm with grassy tent grounds overlooking mountains and a nearby village. Camping costs 200 THB per person, with children under 12 and seniors 60 and above free of charge. The site limits capacity to only 8-10 tents per day, though groups can book the entire lawn exclusively. Electricity and extension plugs are provided, and clean separate male and female restrooms with hot water showers are located a short distance from the tent area. RVs can park on-site, though fees are considered case by case. Small pets are welcome as long as owners keep them supervised at all times. The farm doubles as an agro-tourism spot with a café zone and is open daily from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Bookings and photos of the site can be arranged through the campsite's Facebook page.

Notes from our team

What makes it special
The viewpoint at Rai Pang Wua opens onto a wide valley with layered mountain ridges stretching into the distance. The scenery holds up in every weather — sunny or rainy — making it a fine spot for a slow morning coffee while the ridgelines do the work.
Atmosphere
The overall pace here is slow and unhurried. It is a small farm suited to sitting with a drink and letting time stretch out over the valley view. The quiet comes from its location away from busy roads, so time spent here genuinely feels like a pause rather than a stopover.
Getting there
Getting here takes some attention: the farm sits off the main routes and the roadside sign is in Thai only, so it helps to have coordinates or a map ready before setting out. Allow extra time on the way back too, as the road in and out is not one you simply breeze through.
Food & supplies
The farm's cafe opens at 8:30 am, a handy morning stop with coffee and drinks that are genuinely well made. The staff welcome guests with a smile and communicate comfortably in English. For anyone planning an early arrival or a viewpoint stop, starting the day with the first cup here works nicely.

What a lovely and hidden place with an amazing view into a valley with it's mountains. Nuy, from the ownerfamily, is very friendly and speaks very good English. We had such a good and relaxing time there and will come back for sure! Thank you so much for this magic place! For foreigners I put on a picture from the sign at the road as it is only written in Thai.
