Mae Takhrai National Park in Chiang Mai province offers a camping area well suited to families and those new to outdoor stays. The Jamjuree camping ground sits beside the Mae Kwang stream, where shallow clear water allows visitors to wade and cool off. Large trees provide natural shade across the site. Access is straightforward via the main Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai highway, with the road suitable for standard cars. Facilities include parking, toilets, showers, electricity, running water, a shop, restaurant, and coffee shop. The park also features a three-kilometer nature trail circling the reservoir, Tad Moey waterfall, and a viewpoint at the sixth kilometer, offering opportunities for photography and morning mist observation. Swimming and boat trips are available for those interested in water activities. The campsite charges 30 baht per person per night, and equipment rental is not provided.
