Lung Ran Campsite

Chiang Mai
5.0(5 reviews)

Lung Ran campsite is a campsite in Chiang Mai province with views of Mae Ngat Dam, layered mountains, and a morning sea of mist. It sits just over an hour's drive from Chiang Mai city on a concrete road accessible to all vehicle types. Two route options exist: via Pak Kwang village, about 16 km on a fairly narrow local road, or via the checkpoint opposite Kaeng Pan Tao in Chiang Dao district, about 10 km on a narrower, curvier road with some blind spots. Camping fee is 150 baht per person per night, with tent rental available at 100 baht per tent for 2-3 people. The site has 6 toilets split by gender and 2 warm-water shower rooms, electricity, and full phone signal across all networks. There is no breakfast or dinner service, so campers must cook their own meals. Parking is plentiful, and rooftop tents are welcome at the same price as ground tents. The owner, Lung Ran, personally looks after guests, assisted by his dog Chok Dee. Loud noise is not allowed after 10 pm.
