Doi Kham Fa

Doi Kham Fa or Mae Ngai Watershed Management Unit in Pha Daeng National Park area is a viewpoint for Doi Luang Chiang Dao with camping area. Perfect for watching sunrise, morning fog, and sunset. Peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Tiger orchids bloom in January. Limited to 50 visitors per day, no walk-ins, advance booking required. 8km dirt road through pine forest. High-clearance pickup trucks can access when road is completely dry, but 4WD recommended. Strictly no access during rainy season. Small cars must park at checkpoint, rental 4WD service available for 1,200-1,500 baht round trip. Limited to 20 cars and 10 regular motorcycles per day. Must bring own tent and bedding or rent. No food available, must bring own supplies.
