Kaeng krachan National park, from the entrance it takes about 15 minutes by car to reach the park camp, from there to get to the top and view point it takes about 1 hour as it’s a very rough and in places steep road. You definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. If you don’t have one you can get a lift in a camp vehicle which costs 1800 THB per vehicle, so if there’s only two of you it’s rather expensive. Also there are certain times when traffic is allowed up and certain times when it’s down only as it’s a single track road. Great views from the top and there is a small shop to buy snacks and drinks.

Nice off-road trip, not too hard to go with only 2wd pickup truck. The view is nice good for camping with family and friend.

Weekdays are more chill.Two camp grounds available only for tenting, one at the base( main entrance), another smaller one at the peak for a fee of 60B per tent. Bring a jacket or wind breaker as weather is cool mostly all year round. Park entry per person is 100B.
