Notes from our team

Atmosphere: The camping lawn sits right beside the stream, with a walkway and bridges built by the park that follow the water all the way to the waterfall's three levels. Along the way you actually cross the stream in places, and the water is startlingly cold. The spot most people remember is the third level, with its wooden viewpoint looking straight down at the falls. Crowds stay thin and it is genuinely quiet, thanks to the open grounds set back from the main road, with warm staff welcoming arrivals.
Getting there: The turn-off is from the main road, with the final stretch paved alternating with gravel; sedans can make it, though a very low ride is risky. From the parking area it is about a 700-metre walk to the waterfall area. Entry is 40 baht per person and 30 baht per vehicle. The fee point is not always staffed or clearly signposted, so it is worth asking ahead, and if you want the park stamp you have to head further in to where the rangers are.
