What makes it special

Sunset is when this campground is at its best. Evening light pours across the wide waters of Khao Laem reservoir, turning the view from the viewpoint into a golden scene, so the tents on this side double as a front-row seat for the sunset. Once the light fades, the site also works for stargazing, with a night sky clear enough for lying back and watching the stars.

Atmosphere

Pom Pi campground sits inside Khao Laem National Park on the shore of Khao Laem reservoir, with a light breeze passing through all day. The site is split into two areas, the viewpoint and the helipad lot, and with only a handful of tents set up, the overall setting stays calm. The one recurring sound is longtail boats crossing the reservoir from time to time. A number of friendly dogs also live around the campground.
