Yod Doi Mon Lan is a campsite in Chiang Mai province with views of Doi Luang Chiang Dao mountain and the twinkling lights of Phrao town at night. Located within Sri Lanna National Park in Phrao district, the summit offers cold, sharp winter winds and a sky full of stars after dark. From Chiang Mai city it's about 90 kilometers to Phrao district, then another 40 kilometers up the mountain. Multiple routes lead to the top, including a rough 4x4 track for off-road enthusiasts and a fully paved road that sedans can drive. The camping fee is 30 baht, and the site has clean, well-maintained toilets. It's a good spot for travelers who want mountain views and clear night skies without traveling far off the beaten path in northern Thailand.
