No reservations for specific spots - first come first served. Prepare for cold weather.

Originally, this area was farmland belonging to the Lawa (Lua) hill tribe, where they grew rice and areca (betel) palms. The land was later exchanged using tens of thousands of bunches of areca nuts, which is how the place came to be called “Mon Muen Mak” (Hill of Ten Thousand Areca Nuts).
